Hey guys! It’s Dylan back with another blog. This is actually my last blog of the year. This week i’m going to be talking about my Summer goals! My first goal this Summer is to burn all my school work. My second goal is to go surfing every single day strate no matter what. My third goal is to make a summer edit. Let’s get started!
With my youth group, edge, on the last day of school, we go and burn all of our school work! We do this so we can have fun with friends! Edge picks us up right after the last day of school and we first, go to the beach. Next, go cliff jumping. And third, we burn all our school work. This is my first Summer goal!
In Summer, i’m going to go surfing every day. Good waves or bad waves, rain or shine, i’m going. Why? Because it is so much fun to just get in the water away from everything. Also, when you catch a wave, it feels like your fling! This is my second Summer goal!
My third Summer goal is to make one big Summer edit on everything I did in the Summer. So basically it will be a surfing edit! To accomplish this goal I have to convince my mom to take videos of me when i’m surfing. This is my last Summer goal!
In conclusion, these are my Summer goals! I can’t wait for Summer, no worries and just playing! That’s livin’ the life! This is also my last blog for the whole school year! Overall, these are my Summer goals.
Hey guys! It’s Dylan back with another blog! This week i’m going to be giving the new students three pieces of evidence on your upcoming media class. Trust me, this will really help you. Three pieces of evidence that will help you are one, lean to edit early in the year. Two, finish your inside scoops before they're due. And three, get your blogs done before Saturday. Let’s get started!
You should learn to edit early in the year so when you're working by yourself, you won’t need to bug your partner about editing. If you ask your partner, that will take away your partner's time away and yours from finishing your project. Also, if you learn to edit earlier in the year, there’s a better chance that you will be pretty good at editing.
You should finish your inside scoops before there do so you don’t have to rush around in the week that there do. Trust me, rushing around isn’t fun. It is very stressful. You should start your scripts about a month before there do and start recording about a week before it’s due. It will help.
You should always finish your blogs before Saturday. Always! If you don’t, you will most likely get used to doing it and will never do your blogs. This means bad grades. Bad grades mean bad college. Bad college means bad job. Bad job means bad life. Trust me, it’s true. This is why you should post your blogs before Saturday.
In conclusion, this is some advice for all you new people coming into media next year! I hope it helps you a lot in media! Trust me, it will. I hope that everyone will enjoy media next year! Thanks for reading, bye!

Hey guys! It’s Dylan back with another blog! This weeks topic is about musical inspiration. A song that inspires me is the song,”Panda”. This song can inspire me to change my mood, wake up, and to do my homework. Let’s get started!
Music can change a bad day to a great day. All you do is listen to a good song that you know and the song will change your mood. If it’s a sad song, you will probably have a sad mood. If it’s a happy and fun song, you will have a great mood. Overall, this is how music can change your mood.
Sometimes, waking up is a hard thing to do in the morning, but if you hear your favorite song, it will get you going! For example, my dad told me that when he was a kid, he used to wake up to some of his music. This got him up in the morning faster. Overall, this is how music can get you moving a little faster in the morning.
If you’ve ever had homework, it’s not that fun. But if you can change your mood to a happy mood, it won’t be as stressful as it is. The key to change your mood is music. If you listen to music when doing homework, it will help you to finish a lot faster. Overall, this is how music can help you with homework.
To wrap it up, this is how music can inspire you to change your mood, wake up, and to do my homework. In my opinion, I love music. What about you? How does music make you feel? Overall, this is how music can inspire me to do the things above.
Hey! It’s Dylan back with another blog! This week's blog topic is about a time that I was out of my comfort zone. One time that I was out of my comfort zone was a time when I was snorkeling with Erik at Mahalapu on a big swell day. Three reasons why I was out of my comfort zone is one, there was rip current, two, I claimed to have spotted a shark, and three, there was a 15 foot fire.
It all started as a nice day of snorkeling. We saw nice fish and all. When it was time to come in, that’s when things fell apart. Erik’s dad got side tracked and was going in, but instead of paddling in, we paddled the opposite way. Erik and I thought we were going to see some more fish. We told Erik’s dad that we were a little too far from our jump spot, and that’s when he realized. We tried to swim back, but about five minutes later, we look up and we haven’t moved anywhere. We were stuck in a rip current.
Once we found out that we were stuck in a rip, we had two options. Free climb a 20 foot cliff or swim a half a mile to the beach. I claimed to see a shark so I decided to climb the cliff. So did Erik and Erik’s dad. We got on the cliff and started climbing. I got up first, then Erik. Erik’s dad dropped a fin so he had to go back down and get it. Erik had not idea so he was calling, “Dad! Dad! Dad!” His dad came up with a scratched up bloody stomach, but he was fine.
We walked back to the car and wrapped it up and called it a day. We got in the car and left. As we were driving back, we smelt smoke from a fire. Next thing you know, we turn the corner and we see a 15 foot fire. Erik and I were in the back of the truck so we were ducking down to hide from the police. We get back on to the highway and we are all fine. That was what I call a crazy day.
In conclusion, this is a time when I was out of my comfort zone. The scariest part about it was the rip current. To be honest, I think climbing the cliff was really fun. Overall, this is a time when I was out of my comfort zone.

Hey guys! It's Dylan back with another blog. This week I will be talking about Spring Break! This Spring Break I will be going to the North Shore of Oahu. I will be planning on going to some amazing beaches there to surf. I will also be going to the water park, Wet n' Wild! Last but not least, I want to go check out some skate parks, and skate at them. I also got homework to do.
The North Shore of Oahu is famous for it's beaches. I am really exited to check out Banzai, Pipeline! I hope that there will be a little swell up there so I can watch the big waves. I'm also exited to to go to Waimea Bay. If i'm lucky, I can jump off of the cliff there! I will also be going to Sandy's. Did you know that Sandy's was Brock Obama's favorite place to body surf? Overall, i'm really exited to go check out some of the awesome beaches of Oahu! 🌊
I love the water park in Oahu! My favorite ride there is the wave rider one when the water sucks up and you can surf it. I also love to Tornado ride! I getting really exited to go to the water park because we have nothing like it here in Kauai. The beach is our water park!
I'm getting pretty exited to go to the skate parks because, well we only have two of them here, in Kauai. Theres one up North and one in Kapa'a. Those are pretty far from were I live because I live in Lawai. I'm also getting exited to use my new skate shoes I got the other day.
In conclusion, I am getting really exited for spring break! The thing that i'm most exited about is probably the beaches. We are going to a lot more in Oahu but I just mentioned my favorite things that were going to do. I will also be working on my movie trailer when I get back from Oahu.
